MAKE A DAY OF ALFRISTON
A bookshop, a village green
and the Downs on your doorstep
A few ideas for a visit, with the taxi there and the ride home arranged around your plans.
Much Ado Books
Browse the independent bookshop on West Street, with new and second-hand books. Agree a village meeting point rather than assuming the taxi can stop immediately outside the shop.
Plan your visit ↗Lunch or a stay at The Alfriston
The hotel on Seaford Road offers accommodation and dining at its 1554 Brasserie. Book with the venue directly and give us the hotel name when arranging your taxi.
Dining at The Alfriston ↗A walk in the Cuckmere valley
Use the National Park’s Alfriston and River Cuckmere circular route to plan a walk that suits you. Allow time for the paths and conditions, and confirm your collection before setting off.
See the official walking guide ↗Nearby: Rathfinny Wine Estate
Arrange a vineyard visit or tasting directly with Rathfinny. The Cellar Door and Flint Barns are different destinations within the estate: tell us which venue you are visiting so we can confirm the correct route and fare.
Explore Rathfinny ↗On to Litlington
For a country pub, a brewery visit or another part of the valley, read our Litlington guide. Book a separate collection if your day finishes somewhere different.
Explore Litlington →Your pickup in Alfriston
Give us the full accommodation or venue address and agree a road-accessible meeting point. The village and countryside stops are different locations; we’ll confirm each leg and fare when booking.
