YOUR INFORMATION

Privacy information.

How Cuckmere Taxis Seaford uses your information when you enquire about or arrange a journey.

Who to contact

Chris Hewitt, trading as Cuckmere Taxis, is responsible for the journey information you give us. Contact Chris at bookings@cuckmeretaxis.com or call 01323 899214 about your information or booking.

What we ask for

We use your name, telephone number, pickup and destination, travel dates and times, stops, passenger numbers and luggage details to arrange your journey. Airport collections also use flight information and a mobile number for contact after landing. If you book for another person, share only the details needed to arrange their journey and let them know you have done so. Please keep optional notes practical; do not include diagnoses, medical histories or card details. Without the necessary journey and contact details, we may be unable to arrange your taxi.

Why we use it

We use the details to respond to your enquiry, check availability, agree the fare and carry out a confirmed journey. This is necessary to take steps at your request before booking and to perform the booking contract. We also use relevant records to handle changes, complaints and disputes, protect the service from misuse, and meet applicable legal and accounting obligations. Our interests in running a reliable service and resolving enquiries are balanced against your rights. Sending a request does not enrol you in marketing, and no automated system accepts or declines your booking.

Booking forms, email and WhatsApp

Your unfinished form details stay in the open page rather than being saved as a contact record in your browser. The South Downs planner temporarily stores the route and travel details in the same browser tab to carry them into the booking form; the saved plan is removed when the form opens. Callback submissions are sent through our Cloudflare service, stored in its private database and emailed to Chris. If you choose WhatsApp, your request goes to our business account only after you press Send in WhatsApp. Direct email is handled through our email service and forwarding arrangements. Relevant details are shared with Tom and the driver who needs them to arrange and carry out the journey.

Address search, routes and security

Google receives typed address-search text, selected places and route queries to provide suggestions, maps and road distances. Your contact name, phone number and general booking notes are not included in those address and route queries. Manual address entry is available. Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network information, including your IP address, to check submissions for abuse. The callback service uses keyed IP identifiers to limit repeated requests. Hosting, Google, Cloudflare, WhatsApp and email providers process information needed to deliver their services. Their processing may involve locations outside the UK; their privacy information explains their international processing and safeguards. See Google privacy information, Cloudflare privacy information and WhatsApp privacy information.

Keeping information

Callback database records older than 30 days are removed when the service next processes a valid submission. Rate-limit records are removed after expiry during later processing. Email, WhatsApp and confirmed-booking records are managed separately: relevant information is kept as needed to arrange and carry out the journey, handle changes or disputes, and meet applicable accounting or legal obligations. We assess retention by the type of record, outstanding issues and any legal requirement, and remove information when it is no longer needed. Any agreed luggage-handover photos are used privately to establish collection or delivery and retained only as needed for that purpose or a related dispute.

Your choices and rights

Contact us to request access to your information or correction of inaccurate details. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights can be subject to legal exceptions, and we may need to verify your identity. You can raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
