Start with the view you want
The famous view across the Seven Sisters is different from standing on the cliffs themselves. Before you book, decide whether you want a viewpoint walk, a valley walk or a visit to a coastal stop. This helps avoid arriving on the wrong side of the Cuckmere.
South Hill Barn: viewpoint walks
From Seaford Station the fixed fare is £10; from Alfriston it is £18. South Hill Barn is a starting point for walking around Seaford Head. Allow for the walk beyond the car park and uneven ground; the viewpoint is not beside the taxi door.
Exceat: the country park
The fare is £11 from Seaford Station or £20 from Alfriston. Exceat suits a visit to Seven Sisters Country Park and the valley. Use official maps to choose your route. The river mouth has no footbridge, so do not plan to simply cross there.
Birling Gap: another part of the coast
The fare is £26 from Seaford or £32 from Alfriston. It is a different access point from Seaford Head and Exceat. Check local access notices before you travel; weather and conditions can affect your plans.
